SALDE began long before it became a brand. It began on my grandmother's closet floor.

My Mimi has always had a way of dressing that cannot be bought or copied. Her wardrobe has been built over decades, each piece carrying a story. As a little girl, I would spend hours fawning over her clothes – asking endless questions about where every piece had been. She was my first fashion inspiration, the introduction to my lifelong love affair with getting dressed.

Her maiden name is Salde – our family name from Palermo, Sicily. A playful nod to the Italian word saldi "sale" – which feels fitting for someone who has never missed the thrill of finding something beautiful.

SALDE is named for her. Inspired by her Sicilian roots and life in California, every piece is made or chosen for the feeling it carries: timeless, effortless, sun-worn, and meant to live many more lives.
